Dark, intense and with wonderful aromas of hazelnut and liquorice, Ristretto Ardenza takes the classic espresso to another level. A little shorter, Ristretto is made by passing less water through the coffee. What this means is that you get a short, robust espresso that has a smoky aroma with a deliciously peppery aftertaste. Our Ristretto Ardenza pod coffee is our most intense coffee capsule drink yet, so if you love the full-bodied taste of a bold espresso, this one is definitely worth a try.
Also known as ‘corto’, Italian for ‘short’, Ristretto Ardenza is definitely proof that good things come in small packages. As well as a wonderfully woody character with a bold, hazlenutty taste, these punchy espressos are also topped with a silky layer of crema thanks to the maximum 15-bar pump pressure in our stylish machines. The colour of caramel, the delicious crema is frothy, rich and helps give your espresso pod coffee a high quality taste, just as you would expect from a coffee shop.
An online exclusive, Ristretto Ardenza is an espresso pod coffee not to be missed. Elegant and robust, we think that they’re best served in an espresso cup that presents the irresistible layers of your masterpiece at their best.
And if you’re looking for a delicious ristretto espresso, but with a slightly less intense aroma, our Ristretto coffee capsule drinks might be just what you’re after.

I note that the Ristretto Napoli and Essenza Di Mocha are available to buy from Portugal; though at silly prices. Can you make some available for the UK webshop Please.

Why can't we get coffee of this sort of strength for large cups? I love my coffee strong, but an espresso leaves me feeling robbed. I like a nice long coffee, so I can kick back, and relax with a nice, satisfying cuppa. An extra 2 or 3 grams in each pod would do it, and shouldn't cost any more from a company that grows it's own coffee. In fact, ground coffee should be cheaper than instant, as it doesn't have to go through all the processes to make it soluble. That said, I don't mind paying £3.99 per box, to get a nice tasting cuppa.

How come the Ardenza & Barista are always out of stock yet I can go to the ubiquitious amazon and get them any time. These coffees are good but only if you can get them. Perhaps it's time to look at other makes.

If you like a good strong short coffee to start your day, then this is probably the one for you, however it is also well worth trying Dolce Gusto's excellent Ristretto Barista.

The Ardenza might be tough to track down but is well worth the search. To quote 'Top Gun' . . "The best of the best" . . A really good coffee.

How come that this great coffee has been out of stock since ages? how come the Dolce Gusto RISTRETTO NAPOLI 16 capsules (Intensity 13 ) is not sold in the UK while sold everywhere else. they told me "there isn't enough demand for it here at the moment. We do a lot of research into our brands and have found that consumers' tastes vary a great deal between different countries and cultures". Well I doubt it,. people can't judge some thing they have never seen or tested. I tested it and the best Coffee from Dolce Gusto so far and anyone who tested it has the same opinion.

Review by (Posted on 22/04/2020) - Different packaging but still the same GREAT taste!
-
Reordered these coffee pods but was concerned when we opened box to find that the pod, although still with the same blue top, was brown in colour and not black. On checking the box it was also different as it was now marked as “Extra Crema” but when we tasted the coffee it was still the same great taste. So don’t be put off with the change of packaging.
Review by (Posted on 28/01/2020)Dolce GustoHi Ann, changing the colour of the black plastic to brown is the first in a series of actions we are taking to significantly increase the rate of recycling of our capsules.
